Belinda Liu – Fashion Designer si London Fashion Week

Anul a inceput în studio, cu o sedință foto pentru Belinda Liu, creatoare de modă, fondatoare a Belinda Liu Fashion. Nu e prima dată  când lucrăm impreună și de fiecare dată mă bucur să văd o varietate din ce in ce mai mare și să primesc vești vești din ce în ce mai bune de la ea. De data asta vestea cea mare a fost prezența ei (și a colecției ei) la London Fashion Week.

Sedința avea ca scop realizarea unor fotografii simple, pe fundal alb, care să reprezinte colecția de la LFW. Am început de dimineață, am pregatit studioul, a venit și Belinda cu trusa de machiaj si cu rochiile si am inceput.

London And The Freedom Of Colour

It’s been 4 months since I left London, perhaps even more. It wasn’t a good time for pretty much anything, and that nothing was pretty much all that I’ve done. I arrived right before Christmas Eve and walked around that night. The people were different. Few were out because they wanted to. When people walked they looked like they had a goal: home.

People seemed trapped in this “outside” and they were looking forward to get inside, to spend Christmas together with someone that cared. One of probably the few nights when people agree, have a common goal and it’s not in the middle of a riot. The people that worked that night did not look happy. They didn’t say anything, but their look pretty much said it all.

London’s Underground

One thing I like about London’s Underground. More than one actually, but there’s one thing I like in particular. They allow you to take pictures inside the stations and inside the trains. No signs and no stressed out policemen telling you to stop taking pictures. I guess it’s ok as long as you don’t disturb anybody.

I like the Underground quite a lot. It’s like a city inside the city. There are even different kind of people usually going on the different lines of the Underground. You get in contact with everyone here. From the smiling japanese tourists with their maps dropping out of their camera bags to the tired people that go home from work at 10 PM.Just the other day I saw a guitarist play at Baker Street Station that made Joe Satriani look like a slowhand player… talk about chances in life.

All in all the Underground’s a big, giant fruitcake.

In sfarsit, am gasit un pic de timp ca sa fac ordine in cele  2-3 poze pe care le-am facut in Londra.

Primul contact cu orasul a fost destul de brutal. Era sa dea o masina peste mine, deoarece cand am traversat m-am uitat in stanga, din reflex.
